More funds for Travis Air Force Base

Travis Air Force Base was approved for more funding last week -- this time to improve access to and from Solano County through the North Gate at the base.
Congressman John Garamendi, D-Solano, reported in a press release that a bill approved by the House of Representatives includes a $750,000 earmark he requested for the North Gate.

Garamendi Pushes Bill to Create Livermore Tech Transfer Center

John Garamendi, D-Walnut Grove, detailed a bill he's introducing today that would establish a technology transfer center at Lawrence Livermore and Sandia/California national laboratories. Such a center would help ease the transfer of research from the national labs to the private sector.
